WESLEYAN CONFERENCE

THE Irish Wesleyan Conference for the year 1849 was held in the city of Cork. Such was the character of its sessions, and of the services connected with them, that they will not soon nor easily be forgotten by those who had the privilege of attending them. After the trials through which the Wesleyan Connexion in Ireland has passed during the late years of famine, disease, and mortality, the anticipation of the Annual Conference excited a peculiar interest in the minds of all who were concerned, indirectly as well as directly, in its assembling.
