Zusammenfassung: | A genuine organic alternating chain system, pentafulorophenyl nitronyl nitroxide (F5PNN), has intriguing properties such as highly isotropic spins and fairly low critical fields, which are advantageous to study field-induced quantum phenomena in spin-gapped systems. We have studied magnetic field effects on the specific heat of a deuterated single crystal of F5PNN which was recently synthesized by Sakai et al. for the first time. Through comparison between the results of deuterated and hydrogenous single crystals, it is clarified that the deuteration has a greater effect on intrachain interactions than interchain interactions. |
