Zusammenfassung: | Proposes standardized p control charts for short runs. For each chart the centre line is 0, the lower control limit is -3 and the upper control limit is 3. These charts permit real-time process control beginning with the second sample; are natural extensions of the conventional p charts widely used by and familiar to practitioners; and enable samples of unequal sizes or from different production runs to be plotted on the same chart. Furthermore, numerical studies show that their below and above control limit probabilities compare favourably with existing short-run p-charts in that they are closer to 0.135 per cent. |
