description This paper deals with the principles of an analysis of the drives with oscillating synchronous motors in the steady-state regime. There is emphasised the identity of the main problem of electrical drives with conventional motors and oscillating ones: suitable compatibility of the motor's and load's parameters. There is shown that synchronous oscillating motors are popular and perspective for the driving of the piston compressor, therefore a drive of compressor with synchronous oscillating pulsating current motor was chosen for the detail analysis. Unfortunately, both elements of such drive - a motor and a load - are non-linear systems, therefore to calculate them it needs to use the method of numerical modelling (in Mathcad environment). The principle of forming of characteristics of a motor and compressor are described. The running points and corresponding working indices are calculated by solving the system of equations of a motor and a load. The solution is illustrated by the samples of graphical interpretation - the intersection of spatial curves and surfaces. Some data of experimental investigation are presented. The described method could be applied for analysing of different drives with oscillating motors.
