Zusammenfassung: | The recovery of aliphatic carboxylic acids from alkaline liquors from soda-anthraquinone pulping was feasible on a column filled with strongly acidic polystyrene cation exchange resins. Prior to elution with warm water (65C), the liquors were acidified with sulphuric acid to precipitate most of the lignin and to liberate the hydroxy acids. This method of separation seemed promising in connection with kraft black liquors, but the optimal conditions were yet to be determined. |
