Zusammenfassung:This paper describes a software engineering training program that targets personnel with skills in other engineering disciplines. This intensive nine-week program was designed in the fall of 1995. It was offered three times during 1996 and 1997 with modifications that incorporate lessons learned from previous sessions. We will describe key features of the program, give an overview of its implementation, report on our experiences with graduates of the program, and note lessons learned.
