NANOJET as a chemical scalpel for accessing the internal 3D-structure of biological cells

Zusammenfassung: | The aim of this work is to obtain information about the internal structure of biological objects (BOs) using the Nanonozzle Plasma Jet Microfabrication Tool (NANOJET). As BOs we used Dictyostelium amoeba. Our results show that the NANOJET allows removal of the cell plasma membrane with negligible damaging its internal structures. Using scanning electron microscopy, we are able to see the spherical and tubular organelles within the cell. |
