Zusammenfassung:A computer model for operation of normal probes combined with a flaw detector was used to consider the effect of the size (radius) of a piezoelectric plate on the amplitude of a detected echo signal. It is shown that the amplitude variation is mainly related to the acoustic part of the electroacoustic channel (a function of signal damping during wave propagation to and from a flaw).
