The suction device has been used in eight lung lobectomy cases and four lung segmentectomy cases to date. There were no major difficulties related to the new suction device except for metal tip disconnection and blood clots clogging. Discussion Our newly developed surgeon‐controlled suction device is inexpensive, easy to handle, and useful for suction, blunt dissection, and organ retraction in robotic‐assisted thoracoscopic surgery, especially when performing lymph node dissection.
