Zusammenfassung:The sinter diffusion bonding being introduced here, greatly expands the application potentials in the powder metal products. Through this development, the products that cannot easily be removed in one piece from the mold, can be produced at low cost. This is a solid phase diffusion technique in which solid phase or very small amount of liquid phase material do exist. As per description in JIS, the process involves adherence of base material, compression in such a manner not to cause plastic deformation while utilizing atomic diffusion at the surface of metal to conduct the joining. As per illustration it involves an outer and inner component, for example in case of provided two examples, in (A) case the inner is (Fe-1.5Cu-1.0C) and outer being (Fe-1.5Cu-0.7C). In the (B) case these are reversed and are fused to one another for which the visible difference in the join strength (MPa) values are plotted. The thermal expansion graph for the combinations measured in RX and N2 gas environment are compared. The application case for sinter diffusion technology in automotive and office products is introduced in the form of various gears as per photographs. The widely used high strength Fe-Ni-Cu-Mo alloy partially diffuse-sinter powder (DISTALLOY AE) is applied to make inner and outer gears which are then fuse bonded.
