Zusammenfassung: | Freund et al discuss the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Code of Standard Practice. As the construction industry has evolved, so too has the Code into a framework for the entire project team: the owner, structural engineer, fabricator, and erector to successfully deliver structural steel projects. It can be said that the Code serves as the structural steel Rules of Engagement. The new 2022 Code addresses several areas of concern in the industry while also providing clearer harmonization with the AISC Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 360). There are three important perspectives from which the Code can be considered: the engineer, the fabricator, and the erector. |
