Zusammenfassung:We present a VLA measurement of the peculiar interacting binary V Sge at 3.55 cm. A radio source with flux 70 μJy was detected with 5.4σ significance σ 0.1 arcsec from the Carlsberg Meridian Catalogue optical position of V Sge. The probability of an unassociated radio source lying this close to V Sge is extremely low. We use the observed intensity to derive the rate of mass loss from V Sge, and find that it is much greater than that of cataclysmic variables. We discuss the significance of the discovery of this radio emission.
