Zusammenfassung:Microsuperplasticity is a relatively new creep mechanism that is only beginning to be understood. It is increasingly being found in more and more materials. Analysis strongly suggests that it is tied to superplastic behaviour but a specific and narrow window of operation causes it to occur on a microscopic scale. A simplified modelling attempt is made which is a first step towards applying our current understanding. This understanding gives guidance towards microstructural modifications and enhancement of this mechanism in producing better creep resistant materials.
