| Zusammenfassung: | The paper is concerned with the gasdynamic problem of modeling the interaction of a large cloud of high-velocity small cosmic particles with the earth atmosphere. A solution algorithm is developed, and a numerical solution procedure in the one-dimensional case is described in detail. Some effects resulting from the collective interaction of a large number of particles with the atmosphere are identified. The results are relevant to cases of extreme effects of cosmic dust on the earth atmosphere, such as in the case of the passage of a cometary nucleus near the earth. (AIAA) |
