Zusammenfassung: | The as-quenched microstructure of chill cast Cu-24.8Mn-30.0Al specimens that had been homogenized at 850 deg C for 72 h, sectioned, heat treated at 850 deg C for 1 h and rapidly quenched into iced brine were studied using a scanning transmission electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive x ray spectrometer. Quantitative analyses of elemental concentrations for Cu, Mn and Al were made. The microstructure was found to be a mixture of (L2 sub 1 +B2+L-J) phases. The increase of Al content enhanced the formation of the L-J precipitate. |
