Stability and Electronic Structure of Cluster Assembled Materials

This review discusses the physics of atomic cluster-assembled materials. Using state-of-the-art theoretical techniques, we outline the design of stable clusters suitable for forming cluster assembled crystals. The interaction between the clusters and the electronic structure and stability of crystals of these clusters is also discussed. (Author)
