Zusammenfassung:The capacity to fight against compressive force plays a critical role in maintaining the shape of the tubular organ, especially in trachea[2]. [...]in clinical practice, the insufficient compression property of the graft trachea will cause trachea collapse and stenosis, which are fatal complications in trachea surgery[3,4]. In order to make the research more complete, here, we tested the compression property of the porcine trachea and reported the differences between proximal and distal trachea. 3 Porcine tracheas were donated from a local Abattoir, and no animal sacrifices were made as a direct result of this research.
