Phonon scattering from ferroelectric domain walls: phonon imaging from KDP

Domain walls can be reversibly created and destroyed by applying an electric field at 122 K in KDP. Images of phonons in singl- and multipl -domains show differences in ballistic heat flux. The walls act as nearly perfect grain boundaries.
