GEODE: The Design and selection of geotextiles in civil engineering applications from the CFGG recommendations

The GRC, University of Liege, together with the Belgian Building Research Institute (B.B.R.I.) and the Comité Francais des Géotextiles et Géomembranes (CFGG) has developed a computerized version of the CFGG recommendations to help geotechnical engineers design geotextiles in civil engineering applications. It principally deals with classical applications for which the selection of the geotextile is generally empirical: ⊗ • unpaved roads; • parking and storage areas; • leisure and sports areas; • railways; • drainage and filtration in earthworks; • embankments on soft soil.
