Zusammenfassung: | The use of electrostatic systems to paint plastic parts can increase productivity, enhance quality and help meet environmental regulations. A typical system has a 3-5 stage cleaning station followed by a good dryer. First coat primer provides the conductivity so second stages can use the electrostatic system. Metallics must be done non electrostatically or the color will not match due to alignment of particles by the electrostatic charge. Automated systems can save on paint by painting over four times as many parts as manual systems. In addition automated systems provide better control, diagnostics, and record keeping as well as fast equipment payback. |
