Zusammenfassung: | A rapid and sensitive analytical technique developed for fluorimetric determination of Al in domestic tap-waters basically comprises the use of solochrome violet RS (SVRS), a o,o hydroxy dye capable of forming complexes with Al ions. The experimental investigations, utilizing a computer-controlled luminescence spectrometer optimum conditions for which are presented, are comprehensively illustrated and described. The linear range for determining the Al as its SVRS complex by measuring the emission intensity at 580 nm extended to 50 mu g/l, and the detection limit calculated for a 0.6 mu g standard Al solution was 0.02 mu g/l. Comparisons of the results with those from five other fluorimetric Al-determination techniques demonstrate the much greater rapidity of the method investigated. Six parameters considered likely to influence formation of the Al/SVRS complex, which remains stable for more than 1 h after heating, are listed. |
