Electrochemical intercalation of lithium in LiW sub 3 O sub 9 F

LiW sub 3 O sub 9 F is synthesized from LiF and WO sub 3 at 680 degrees C for 72 h and its crystal structure is discussed. The electrochemical behavior of Li/Li sub x W sub 3 O sub 9 F cell is studied. Two Li atoms can be reversibly intercalated in the compound prepared.
