Thermal contact resistance in unsteady one-dimensional heat transfer in a flat compound solid body with heat sources (Der thermische Kontaktwiderstand bei der instationaeren eindimensionalen Waermeleitung in einem ebenen, zusammengesetzten, festen Koerper mit Waermequellen)

The thermal contact resistance at the interface of a flat solid body with two different material components is investigated analytically, considering the case of unsteady heat transfer in a direction normal to the interface plane. Expressions for the temperature distributions in each of the two components are derived; the temperature jump at the interface is obtained; and the thermal contact resistance is formulated on the basis of the Fourier heat-transfer equation (analogous to Ohm's law for electrical resistance).
