Electrochemical behaviour of palladium/graphite and palladium/carbon systems

Palladium electrocatalysts dispersed on carbon and graphite have been studied by a potentiodynamic technique. It is shown that the hydrogen region in the voltammograms depends on the substrate nature and the palladium deposition method. The electrooxidation of formate in alkaline medium is used to evaluate the electrocatalytic activities of the different systems. They are also found to depend on the support and the preparation method.
