Zusammenfassung:Previously abstracted from the original as item 9005-C1-D-1229. The problem of stress concentration during uniform thermal loading in the region of free end surfaces of thin-walled laminated structures, whose structural elements are a thermorheologically microheterogeneous material, is considered. The thermoviscoelastic solution is constructed by the non-linear approximation method with the use of a mixed finite-element method for numerical realisation of the corresponding thermoelastic problem. Specific results were obtained for structures made of carbon-reinforced plastic whose viscoelasticity is governed by the EDT-10 binder. The stresses' fields were studied in relation to the cooling rate from the naturally unstressed state at a temperature of 120 deg C near the circular opening of a spherical shell and near a free end of a circular cylindrical shell.
