Diagnostics of the plasma in the magnetosphere by means of measurement of the spectrum of alfvén oscillations

A new method of hydromagnetic diagnostics of the magnetosphere is presented. It is shown that remote monitoring of plasma density in a finite L-range may be realized by means of magnetic and electric observations at a single point on the Earth's surface.
