Evidence for rotation in compact extragalactic radio sources

Linear polarization measurements for 0048-097, 0235+164, 0133+476, 1749+096, and 1510-089 are discussed. For all these sources a linear variation of the polarization position angle with time is observed during a flux density outburst. The data suggest that this rotation might be a general feature of...

Zusammenfassung:Linear polarization measurements for 0048-097, 0235+164, 0133+476, 1749+096, and 1510-089 are discussed. For all these sources a linear variation of the polarization position angle with time is observed during a flux density outburst. The data suggest that this rotation might be a general feature of variable sources, only seen when it is not masked by the juxtaposition of polarized components.
