Airborne organic contaminants in the Great Lakes ecosystem

The authors review, with the aid of tables and diagrams, the information available on pollution of the Great Lakes ecosystem by airborne organic matter particularly chlorinated pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). Deposition processes such as vapour-particle distribution , vapour partitioning across the air-water interface, wet deposition of airborne organics, and dry deposition of aerosol-bound organics are included in the review, and a bibliography of 42 references is appended.
