On the effect of phase transformation on the steady state creep of cobalt

The stress component n changes rapidly from 6 for c.p.h. to 16 for f.c.c. phases of Co around the phase transformation temp. of 690 deg K. The energy activating the creep process was 8 x 10 -- 19 J for c.p.h. and 3.2 x 10 -- 19 J for f.c.c.--J.J.P.
