Surface analysis of SUS 316 stainless steel with depth profiles are reported. SIMS spectra show alkali elements and Cr, Fe, Si and Cu with only a weak peak for Ni. Depth profiles show a depletion of Cr and almost total absence of Ni in the outermost surface layers. Surface composition is only slight...
