Zusammenfassung: | The theory of the quasi-steady magnetosphere of baryon stars is developed under the assumption that there is a dipole magnetic field and that the axis of rotation does not coincide with the direction of the magnetic moment of the star (inclined rotator). The shape and parameters of the magnetosphere are found. Expressions are obtained for the total number of particles in the magnetosphere, its rate of decrease with time, and the second time derivative of the pulsar period. The physical conditions in the magnetospheres of pulsars are investigated. For the pulsar PSR 0531, the temperature of the plasma magnetosphere is approximately constant and equal to about 66,000 K, while in the remaining pulsars with longer periods the temperature varies in the range from 10,000 to 10 million K at the very end of the magnetosphere. The total number of particles in the magnetospheric plasma is of the order of 10 to the 40th to 10 to the 42nd. |
