A test of the electronic stability criterion for some Fe-based amorphous metal series
An aspect of the electronic stability criterion, whereby conduction electrons contribute to the stability against crystallization, is examined experimentally for four Fe-based amorphous alloy series. The data for one of these series is inconsistent with such a criterion.
