Fluctuations of the Magnetic Field Generated by Permanent Magnets
The short-term stability of the magnetic field generated by permanent magnets is calculated on the basis of spin-wave theory. The results indicate that the relative rms fluctuation of the magnetic field is inversely proportional to V exp 1/2 H exp 1/4 sub e , where V is the magnet volume and H sub e...

Zusammenfassung: | The short-term stability of the magnetic field generated by permanent magnets is calculated on the basis of spin-wave theory. The results indicate that the relative rms fluctuation of the magnetic field is inversely proportional to V exp 1/2 H exp 1/4 sub e , where V is the magnet volume and H sub e the effective magnetic field inside the magnet. For SmCo sub 5 at room temp. the relative rms fluctuation of the magnetic field is calculated to be approx 0.2 x 10 exp --11 for V = 1 cm exp 3 and H sub e = 240 kOe.--AA |
