Zusammenfassung: | The investigation concerns the velocities associated with ionic winds when the entrainment to the system is confined to the ion source (i.e., the flame in combustion systems), account being taken of the effect of gauze electrodes on both pressure drop and breakdown strength. A theoretical model is presented which is tested by comparison with measurements obtained in a previous experimental study of diffusion flame acration by ionic winds. Agreement is very good. The present investigation is the complement to a previous study
