Zusammenfassung:The onset, magnitude and duration of cycloplegia and mydriasis using a combination drop were studied. One eye of each subject was dilated with one drop of the 'control' solution containing 1% cyclopentolate. The other eye was dilated with a combination solution containing 0.5% tropicamide and 1% cyclopentolate. Every 15 minutes for three hours, the accommodative amplitude was measured by the push-up method, and a photograph including both pupils was taken. It was observed that a single solution containing 0.5% tropicamide and 1% cyclopentolate is clinically effective for routine pupil dilation and cycloplegic examinations.
