Zusammenfassung:Phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE5Is) have been shown to modulate cell death/cell survival in different in vivo and in vitro models of disease by activating many signaling pathways. This review aimed at elucidating how PDE5Is can inhibit apoptosis. In this study, we describe many signaling pathways involved with the mechanism of action of PDE5Is that ultimately inhibit apoptosis and thus promote cell survival.
