description | Historically, progress in leukemia research has been slow, but it has accelerated recently as a result of understanding the pathophysiology of leukemias and implementing more effective and targeted therapies. This review summarizes the progress across leukemia subsets and projects the potential cure of most leukemias in the next decade.
This review summarizes the major progress toward the curing all leukemias in the foreseeable future. The therapeutic tools necessary to cure most, if not all, leukemias within the next decade already may be available, and these need to be investigated in combination with both established treatments and other investigational agents in well designed regimens to define new standard‐of‐care curative regimens across all leukemias. |
