Zusammenfassung: | In today's environment of rapid technological change and national and international competition, firms must ensure that they get true value from their human capital investments. In addition, they can no longer guarantee a life-long relationship with their employees. These issues, combined with increased government regulation and an intensely diverse work force, have caused the HR function to become even more vital to the success of the firm. The HR function itself has moved away from the traditional administrative service role. In addition, many other conventional functions are being outsourced in order to achieve more efficiency. These changes have allowed the HR field and the HR profession to assume new, more vital roles within the organization. The opportunities within the HR field are immense and diverse. The field is wide open for women as well as men. |
