Chris Michaelides (1949—2017)

Kent presents an obituary for Chris Michaelides, curator at the British Library who died in London on June 11, 2017. Michaelides had a great love of European culture in general, but the visual arts fascinated him most and he wrote frequently about them. Blessed with a strong constitution and a mind able to absorb large amounts of information and recall everything easily and accurately, he spent much of his life in a ceaseless campaign of visits to galleries throughout Europe, acquiring in the process great knowledge and a large library of art books.
