C–F bond activation of trifluoroethanol and trifluoroacetic acid catalysed by the dimolybdate anion, [Mo2O6(F)]

Two gas-phase catalytic cycles involving C–F bond activation of trifluoroethanol and trifluoroacetic acid were detected by multistage mass spectrometry experiments.
