It contained phosphatidylethanolamine as the predominant polar lipid. The DNA G+C content was 44.4 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed that N60AT formed a separate lineage in the genus Mucilaginibacter and that it was most closely related to Mucilaginibacter frigoritolerans FT22T (96.5 % sequence similarity). Phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic characteristics supported the conclusion that N60AT represents a novel species of the genus Mucilaginibacter, for which the name Mucilaginibacter craterilacus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is N60AT (=KCTC 52404T=NRRL B-65396T). |
