Female receptivity to remating and early fecundity in Drosophila melanogaster

Results of a study concluded that the single-mating fecundity of twice-mated female Drosophila melanogaster whose second mating was interrupted was not significantly greater than that of one-mated females. Second-male sperm transfer was prevented in all three natural-population experiments.
