Differences between larval and adult Drosophila in metabolic degradation of ethanol

Freriksen et al question whether adult Drosophila melanogaster, after the complete metamorphosis, persist in using the same metabolic degradation of ethanol as the larvae do. Results indicate that larval and adult Drosophila employ different metabolic strategies to eliminate ethanol.
