Allergic contact dermatitis to the fragrance material lilial

A 22-year-old white man presented with a one-month history of dermatitis in the axillary area which developed a week after he started using a solid roll-on antiperspirant. The patient was exquisitely sensitive to Lilial, which is para-tertiary-butyl-alpha-methyl hydrocinnamic aldehyde.
