description With the running of Jiangxi power grid security and stability intelligent defense system, it is elaborated about the role of system combined with the real cases. It realizes the multiple time scales and multi-dimensional visual display integration of the grid topology/geographic information/the natural environment information and operating conditions of the power grid. As an innovation, based on disaster mechanisms, probability quantitative assessment of equipment failure caused by the natural environment and dynamic adjustment of the fault sets are realized. Combined with thunderstorms/fires examples, it presents the power grid security warning & decision support considering natural disasters and the risk assessment of cascading failures. Finally, the offline study subsystem's positive role in the preparation of short, long-term aspects of scheduling plans are introduced.
