Heat storage in a shallow confined aquifer: geophysical tests to detect the resulting anomaly and its evolution with time
A confined aquifer lying between 4 and 7 m depth was subjected to several injections of hot water. A resulting decrease of electrical resistivity was observed. Measurements were carried out at the surface, using a classical electrical technique. A model explaining the anomaly is proposed.
