Use of electrophoretic methods for the rapid analysis of proteins of Antarctic region marine organisms

Several methodological approaches (one- dimensional, two-dimensional and enzyme-electrophoreses) were tested for integrated rapid analysis of tissue samples of marine organisms, using starfish Odontaster validus and Antarctic krill Euphausia superba as examples. These methods are recommended to conduct rapid screening studies for further analysis of protein composition and enzymatic activity of tissue samples from the Antarctic Region organisms.
