Zusammenfassung: | Here we indicate some ways that delays, disputes and costs can affect policies for health equity. 2 Equity Challenges for Health Policy Health equity refers to social justice-where systematic differences in health between socially advantaged groups (e.g. by wealth or power) and others have been eliminated by actions either within the health sector or in the wider determinants of health. Significant resources are required to develop effective legal and economic analytic infrastructure to assess the possible trade and investment agreement consequences of a policy. 6 Future Pro-Equity Policies Potentially at Risk Selective food taxes, marketing controls or renewable energy subsidy policies all could be expected to improve health, improve equity and reduce profitability of corporations that export into New Zealand. |
