Could active case finding reduce the transmission of tuberculosis?

Impoverished social conditions and stigma lead to late diagnosis of tuberculosis. Therefore, finding infectious cases in communities of vulnerable people needs active case finding to overcome the lack of awareness or reluctance to report disease symptoms.
