Distribution of surface roughness on cup-wheel spherical grinding
An approach to predict distribution of spherical surface roughness was proposed based on the density of cup-wheel spherical grinding trajectories. Statistics of amount of trajectories' points in one-unit length circle were carried out aiming to segmented spherical surface. Trajectories density...

description | An approach to predict distribution of spherical surface roughness was proposed based on the density of cup-wheel spherical grinding trajectories. Statistics of amount of trajectories' points in one-unit length circle were carried out aiming to segmented spherical surface. Trajectories density distribution varies with different sizes of cup wheel. Two groups of experiments were done to test the distribution of surface roughness and the conclusion above was verified by the experimental results. The final conclusion is that the sizes of cup wheel and spherical workpiece are key factors that impact the distribution of spherical surface roughness with cup-wheel grinding. |
